Perhaps, the most important “Do” of email marketing is to personalise your email to your subscriber. You can’t afford to keep conversations here formal. And it would be costlyto make it a monologue. Others like deciding on what you want to achieve before hitting send, send first to yourself before sending out, asking questions amongst others were discussed in this podcast.

 

Top 7 DONTs of Email Marketing

As there are things you must to do create a successful email marketing campaign, there are also “don’ts”, you should avoid. These are mistakes or oversights that can seriously undermine your effort on email marketing. Top on that list is sending unsolicited emails. Wait…. what happened to asking for their permission?!

Another is to format your email content. I agree this is controversial, but seriously do you want your email to be turned into another mobile browser? Do you. Others like not talking too much about yourself, not selling from day 1 and others were discussed in this podcast.
