S021: Top 10 Productivity Tools for Entrepreneurs in 2017

This is the time of the year, where many people are planning for the new year. And as an entrepreneur, I am sure you are too. In this episode, I shared the top ten online tools that can help improve your productivity as an Entrepreneur in 2017.

Episode Takeaways

In this episode, you will learn

  • about the top ten productivity tools for entrepreneurs.

1. Use Google Calendar for Time Management

Google Calendar comes free with your Gmail account and can be accessed at https://calendar.google.com. This tool allows you schedule your time and set notifications for events that you wouldn’t want to forget. You can also set up meeting reminders using this tool. There are tonnes of other things this calendar can be used for but I use it majorly to plan my time and schedule task, activities, meetings or events.

2. Use Business-in-a-Box for Document Creation

Business-in-a-Box, a collection of legal forms and business document templates, has been a big help for me since 2015. At a point, when I had no idea what a business plan was, I came up with a top notch business plan just following the guidelines of this software. Unlike Google Calendar, it is a software you can download and install on your laptop. It is free to read and use but to edit and enjoy the best of this software, you would have to pay for it.

3. Use Evernote for organizing your thoughts

I use Evernote to organise my thoughts. I first heard about it from Cliff Ravenscraft, a man touted as the father of podcasting. This tool has been really handy for me as a person with so many ideas and thoughts. In addition to that, Evernote allows me to clip, organise and store articles I need for later use.

4. Use SurveyMonkey to secure customer feedback

SurveyMonkey, like google form,  is a free online questionnaire tool that allows you take surveys/collect data and transform these into information you can use. As an entrepreneur, you should be taking customer feedback often. As this will allow you continually improve your product and service to meet current market condition. Google form is a great replacement for SurveyMonkey and once you have a Gmail account, you can use google form.

Use Mailchimp for Email Marketing

Mailchimp is an emailing service that allows you send emails to your clients and potential customers in a more convenient, personalised and automated manner. I no longer use it because I was blacklisted for some crazy reasons, but many entrepreneurs I know use it. In addition, it is free to use up to 1000 email subscribers. But if you are thinking premium and quality service, think Converkit. If you are thinking free, think Mailchimp.
